 I've been waiting to write about this as long as I can and with the impending deadline I need to let you all know - Christianna is leaving us. Her last day is going to be August 29th. She has decided to move to New York City to pursue a career in Advertising or PR. Those of you who know her please wish her well. If any of you have any contacts in New York please share them with her. She does have family up there but any help in finding an opportunity would be most appreciated. CK (that's her nick name) has been with us for almost a year. A year of putting up with Tate, dealing with Cheer Moms, having to explain what normal wear and tear is about 2500 times, learning to speak Chinglish to be able to communicate with the factory, traveling every weekend to competitions and generally having to smile and be nice when all she wanted to do was smack someone.
While she was here we watched her grow from a shy timid young lady to a confident creative team member who was not afraid to disagree and voice her own opinion. Working in an office with Tate and myself it's pretty hard to get a word in sometimes and she found out very fast that it was OK to disagree and look at an opportunity from her own vantage point. She grasped her job responsibilities, took ownership of them ,was very organized and did a tremendous job for us.
We will miss her. We wish her all the best. The company that has the foresight and luck to bring her on board is getting a first class employee. They have no idea how lucky they are going to be. Best of luck Christianna!!
I've asked her replacement, Katie, to write a guest blog next week so you can get to know her. She has big shoes to fill, but we are confident that she is going to be a great member of our team. I'm on vacation next tomorrow and Monday so there will be no blog until I return. Have a good weekend everyone.
