Passing the Torch for a day!

Ok, so it’s my turn! I am charged with the duty of guest writing for the Nation! I’m honored to be able to this, like China passed the flame to England the flame sits in my court, so here is my best!

It has been a heck of a week at Spirit Cheer Inc. We are preparing for our upcoming event season, double checking venue locations and contracts, production costs, and full bore into our gym visits and marketing efforts. We are excited about this year. It will be a different year than any other in years’ past.

While we have watched the dynamic Michael Phelps and The lightening Usane Bolt from Jamaica, our customers are feeling the crunch of the economy and at the gas pump. Gyms are feeling it in gym collection fees, consolidation and number of events they will be attending. Like Middle America, small gym USA feels this much more then the upper 1%, the big gyms, but we all feel it. In these times, I am renewed why we all do what we do on a daily basis. It is hard and it is so easy to want to complain. Why complain when it’s not worth it? We all are working harder to earn for our families.

So, why do we do what we do?

I believe we all do this for a smile! Yes, a smile. The reward of seeing a girl in your gym do a back handspring for the first time or watching that team you have given countless hours of choreography to hit the routine for the first time or even something as simple as opening a box of new of Nfinity shoes and smelling that new shoe smell. The reward we get is seeing our customers smiling at our events and having a great experience. So in a year where we smiled and watched Michael Phelps, let’s never forget why we really do what we do…. that smile all customers like to give when they are happy.

Make sure you recognize that smile and give one back!

Thanks for letting fill in Marler!!

Mike

Well said Mike! Your attitude and choosing to smile and appreciate others is free. It's also contagious and makes life that much sweeter. smilies/grin.gif
