Shout Outs and Adda Boys

I never really know what I'm going to write about in this blog until I sit down at the computer and start typing - and it's usually something that is on my mind or a pet peeve that I want to get off my chest. But today I want to give some shout outs and adda boys to some of our esteemed colleagues in the cheer industry.

First - I'm going to start at home with the Nfinity Nation main sponsor - Nfinity. They were just named to the Inc Magazine annual list of the 500 fastest growing companies. They came in at #119 on the list for 2008. As you all know the driving force behind them is Tate Chalk - founder, CEO, President, Chief Design Officer, etc. Not bad for someone who started 5 years ago with a sample pair of shoes and a box of t-shirts. Way to go Nfinity!!

Second - I want to say "Excellent" to our boy Sid Hill at AdPro. Sid was the main dude who took the idea to Parker Bros to create the first Cheerleading Monopoly Game. If you haven't seen a sample of it you can not only check it out but pre-order your own copy at www.coreathletics.com . They were the first to offer the game and from what I hear through the grapevine if you want one before Christmas you better order now. The first production run is a limited edition and they are flying off the shelf. Way to go AdPro!!

Third - I want to give a shout out to Valerie Ninemire for stepping up to the plate and buying Cheer Coach and Advisor magazine. Heather called me with the news yesterday and I got an email from Val this morning and the girls are VERY excited about the future for the magazine. For those of you don't know Val - and you must be living in cave if you don't - she writes the cheerleading article for About.com. These two are without question some of the brightest editorialist in this industry and if you don't subscribe to Cheer Coach and Advisor you need to. check it out at http://www.cheercoachmagazine.com . Way to go Val!!

Hats off to all you guys on your outstanding work. I'm proud to call you all friends. (And don't forget you owe me a drink for the mention here!!)

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers,
David
